GGMC was established in 1998, and consists of a close-knit group of riders and family members that share one thing in common – We love Motorcycles. We are not brand particular. Our mantra is “Ride what you bring”. Our members ride everything from Sport bike to big cruisers. Aside from the (often) kidding about each other’s bikes, we welcome all comers to our group. In addition, many of us ride with our significant others as well with our kids.
We are based in Gwinnett County. We start our rides and schedule our meetings in Lawrenceville. Our ride destinations generally fall with in the 100 – 200 miles from Lawrenceville. Our ride destinations varies but we experience something fun from White Water Rafting, to experience visiting an historical site, or enjoying a great ride in the county. Each trip is a rewarding day well spent.
If your preference is riding to the nearest pub, our club is not for you. Our rides consist of day rides with the exception of a couple overnighters. The rides are scheduled for the first Saturday and the third Sunday of each month (which does vary). It is important you check our web site @ ggmotorcycleclub.com, for starting times and last minute changes. During the warmer months we have Wednesday night rides. These are short rides that help new riders to experience riding in a group as well getting away to ride. We will also have several dinner rides during the summer season.
We want all our members to arrive home safe so we dedicate a lot of our time to safety. Ride planning, route, gas/food stops and even riding skills and experience of the riders are considered. It is important that your bike is in good mechanical shape and is capable of maintaining expressway speeds. The ride formation is established to enhance safety. Strict adherence to road rules, and GGMC club rules are expected.
New to riding? No problem. Many of our members joined riding their first bike. You will find that everyone in our club is eager to help you enjoy riding. And also help you develop your skills.
Remember we are a family oriented club. Drinking of alcohol or being intoxicated on rides is not allowed. When bikes are parked for the evening you may do so.
